About Us

Cleveland Scouts Watersport operates in the Yarm area, serving the five districts of Cleveland Scouts and beyond, including the Girl Guiding community too. Operated completely by volunteers from a range of different backgrounds and professions, with over 80% holding other roles within Scouting.

We offer a range of watersport activities at an affordable price running weekends and evenings throughout April-September as well as our ever popular Water Activities Weekend. These include explore and skills based sessions. Allowing young people to develop skills for life and make memories all at the same time. Whilst also providing volunteering and personal develop opportunities for the leaders supporting the team.

The team uses our experience to offer a bespoke service tailoring sessions to both groups and individuals requirements, enabling us to offer an inclusive service, removing boundaries, so anyone can try out watersports and get the most out of their time with us. Whether this be pushing themselves to improve their paddling skills and technique or simply overcoming their fears to get in a boat and have a paddle around.
